The nikahnama is usually the only document a couple keeps from their wedding day, and it is normally handed over as a plain folded sheet. Folded paper creases along the same lines until it tears, and ordinary ink fades where light reaches it. Framing it solves both problems and turns a document into something you can display.

Most nikahnama documents suit a frame in the A4 to A3 range, depending on whether you want the document alone or with a decorative border. Bring or send the document so it can be measured properly — matching the frame to the paper gives a much better result than trimming the paper to a stock frame.
