“Flash stamp” and “flash seal” are two names for one product — the updated version of the old rubber stamp. The difference that matters is where the ink lives. A rubber stamp has none of its own: you press it onto a separate ink pad every single time, the pad dries out, and it has to travel with the stamp. A flash stamp carries its ink pad inside the body, so you just press and lift.

The pad inside a flash stamp is refillable. A few drops of flash ink when the impression starts to fade gives you more than 300 impressions again, and you can keep doing that — which is why a flash stamp stays usable for years instead of being thrown away. Refill ink is sold separately in blue, red and black.
